VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
West Linn Youth Lacrosse is made possible by volunteers – including the WLYL Board. Our Board is made up of parents who are not only enthusiastic about lacrosse but who also wish to promote excellent character on and off the field. If you have a passion for lacrosse and a willingness to help, we would love to chat with you.
Board positions are approved by the current board. All board members are expected to attend quarterly board meetings and assist with administration and logistics for lacrosse activities.

Chest Pad Regulations
New regulations for shoulder pads went into effect January 1, 2022. All players must wear protection for commotio cordis that meets NOCSAE standard ND200 and contains the associated SEI certification mark (shown below).
Players without SEI-certified pads will not be allowed to practice or play. This is not a requirement unique to WLYL – all youth lacrosse programs must comply.

West Linn Lacrosse is hosting the 2024 Fritz Hayes Classic featuring some of the states top teams. A benefit supporting the officials association and the training of Oregon’s youth officials. We can’t play without the men in the stripes! Come out and support. One admission covers the whole day. Cash please.

NO SESSIONS. Cancelled so that our coaches can meet and prepare for the upcoming season! They are eager to get out there with your boys!
Sunday, 3/10/2024 @RRMS
3:00pm to 4:00pm: 3/4 players (New & returning)
4:00pm to 5:00pm: 5/6 players (New & returning)
5:00pm to 6:30pm: 7/8 players (New & returning)

Here is your spring 2024 lacrosse season practice schedule! Stay tuned for locations & other details!
We are excited to announce our pre-season clinic schedule starting this Saturday! Weekend clinics will run through March 17th! Bring your equipment, mouthguard and water!
If you have received your uniform, wear it proudly! If you have not received yours yet…do not worry! It’s on its way! We will be at clinics in March passing out uniforms & coop shirts as they arrive!

You have questions about equipment & we have answers!
Overall we recommend buying at LAX NW in Tualatin - they’re very knowledgeable and outfit many youth teams. You can also buy gear at Dicks Sporting Goods though we recommend restringing your stick at LAX NW if you buy your stick from DSG.
Here’s what your player will need:
- Stick
- Helmet
- Mouth guard (recommend the kind that attaches to the helmet)
- Shoulder pads (Must have additional chest pad introduced a few years ago. Older used shoulder pads will not be compliant.)
- Elbow pads
- Gloves
- Athletic Cup
- Cleats (soccer, football or lacrosse will work)
- Water bottle
- Lacrosse ball or SwaxLax ball for practice at home (optional)
We have a few pairs of donated youth gloves and elbow pads available upon request. Please email Chris Drunsic at cdrunsic@hotmail.com if interested.
Unfortunately we do not have donated helmets available this year. The safety recertification process is long and we hope to have donated helmets available starting next year.

The WLHS Lacrosse team invites ALL SPRING REGISTERED PLAYERS in grades 1-8 to their annual Super Crosse clinic! Super Bowl Sunday, February 11th From 10am-1pm at the WLHS baseball field! This is a lacrosse clinic, so please bring your gear & water. The fee will directly support the WLHS Lacrosse team’s spring training trip to Arizona! Link in bio!
